What To Do With This Fear, Worry, and Anxiety

I know many of us might be carrying an extra load of worry, anxiety and fear right now. Especially as we face so many tough situations, changes and unknowns. Sometimes it’s easy to choose to rely upon our own strength rather than upon God and His Word. If you’re anything like me, then you know that we can often forget that God can handle ANY problem. Or perhaps we think we can do a better job handling the situation ourselves. Either way, when we choose to lean on our own understanding instead of God’s promises, we are placing ourselves, or the overwhelming situations we are facing, “before” the Lord.

Happy 25th Ministry Anniversary, Tammy

t has taken me days to process everything that happened last Monday night here in Nashville.

It was truly the biggest surprise of my life time. I had no idea that “girls night out” with my best friends was actually a planned for months “set up” surprise gathering at the elegant and luxurious Sambuca with some pretty amazing people that mean the world to me.

When It Hurts

There’s probably no deeper sadness that ever comes over the mind than the idea that we are all alone in this world. That no one cares, that no one sees us or hears us, that no one is concerned about anything that might happen to us, especially if we’re hurting and in pain.

I think that deep down inside all of us, is a desire to be loved, wanted, carried, held, valued, seen as equals, to belong and to be with others that make us feel safe.

When things aren’t adding up, start subtracting!

We all have had people and “things” in our lives that feel important to us, but when something or someone is toxic and damaging to our lives we HAVE to consider removing it in order to achieve more…to keep moving forward.

So decide what it is that stops you from changing, what it is that has been keeping you in one place for months or years possibly, what it is that holds you back from ALL that God has for you!

Waiting is SO Hard

Waiting on God has two really important components. A complete dependence on God AND a willingness to allow Him to decide the terms, including the timing of His plan.

While we wait, some times we have to hold on tight and some times we have to let go. But we must always do so with hope filled expectation and trust, knowing that God is not making us wait just to see how long we can “take it.” But there are times I believe God delays His answer, and we will wonder why He seems so reluctant to intervene in our situations.

Someday You Will Understand

God puts dreams in our hearts and writes a destiny over our lives. And if we trust Him enough to take Him at His word, we will find ourselves on a journey toward the fulfillment of that dream, even if we don’t fully understand what He’s doing right now.

Remember, storms will come, lions will roar, and our fears will be confronted. And when our paths face difficult detours, He will lead us – refining us, strengthening us and continuing to prepare us for that place of promise.

This Is Not Permanent!

Your current situation is not permanent…it’s purpose!

Things could look totally broken, devastating, unknown or hopeless in your life right now, but you must know that God’s intentions are to always bring you to a place of clarity, wholeness, healing, restoration and purpose in your life!

Big Battle! Big Blessing!

Whenever I think about hard battles, I think about David & Goliath.  If ever there was a lopsided battle, this was it! You’d think that David wouldn’t have had a chance. Goliath was a giant. Yet David, a small shepherd boy, agreed to fight him.

I’m sure Goliath must have thought it was some kind of joke when David showed up on the battlefield, with what appeared to be only a slingshot, but that wasn’t the case.David had MUCH more than a slingshot. You see, David had God on his side.

It gets better! I promise.

It gets better! It might not seem like it right now, but I promise you, It will get better!

I have certainly experienced my share of heartbreak through the years and I wish I could tell you the exact time of the week when the sun will begin to shine again for you too, but I can’t.

Dear God…

I can’t do this on my own. I surrender all.

When we hear the phrase “Surrender to God” we might often think that we are going to have to stop “living” somehow.

Surrendering to God doesn’t mean that we all of a sudden have no purpose in life. However, some of us have tried to create our own purpose and have surrendered to nothing for a very long time, except our own wills, and all it has done is created one big mess for many.
